Email: asabemamza@gmail.com | IG: @asabe_mamza
Asabe is a Nigerian-born, Canadian-based interdisciplinary artist whose work bridges traditional African heritage with contemporary digital innovation. With a deep commitment to cultural preservation, she explores the intersection of ancestral craftsmanship and modern technology, which honor and reimagine Black cultural narratives. She graduated from OCAD University in 2023 with an MDes in Interdisciplinary Masters in Art, Media and Design.

Blending hand-built sculptures, digital paintings, 3D art, and technologies like VR/AR, her work explores historical symbols and indigenous aesthetics, inviting audiences to actively engage with the evolving narrative of Black cultural identity.
Inspired by the rich visuals of African masks, textiles, sculptures, and traditions, her work serves as both a tribute to tradition and a reassertion of cultural identity in a rapidly evolving world.

Through storytelling, interactive engagement, and digital tools, Asabe's work explores cultural continuity and the role of technology in heritage preservation.
